A passionate and genuine Extremadura is the central idea for the regional version of the campaign 'We are Extremadura'

Mérida, July 1st 2010.- The Project Marca Extremadura is setting in motion today a new communication action aimed at the regional public which reinforces the national advertising campaign on air until a few days ago.
In accordance to what the Vice-president and Spokeswoman of the Regional Government of Extremadura, María Dolores Pallero, announced on May 20th during the presentation of the campaign “We are Extremadura”, the regional version of this advertising operation is starting this July 1st. This time it will be the unknown people from Extremadura who give their contribution to the promotion of the region with their passion and their daily tasks.
Still considering the fundamental idea “We are Exremadura” the purpose is to reinforce the national campaign, giving prominence to unknown citizens, born or living in Extremadura, who “feel as extremeños” and believe in the future of the region.
These prominent figures were chosen for their genuine testimony which illustrates the vital engine made up from the people’s initiatives for the future of Extremadura.
Raúl Vistosa, a guide at the National Park of Monfragüe (Cáceres), Manuel Álvarez, chemist and oenologist from Almendralejo (Badajoz), Lola and Concha from the Zootherapy Association of Extremadura and Isabel Pascual, a retired lady from Santa Amália (Badajoz) are all entrepreneurs who, in their own way, believe in themselves and in Extremadura.
Their projects grant credibility, raise emotions and reflect the diverse nature of the projects in motion on different areas of the Extremadura society. Through their own personal experiences we discover people who, with their efforts and hard-work, are working in order to improve the wellbeing of others in Extremadura.
But although these are the four leading characters of the conventional campaign in the media, there are many more testimonies to illustrate the qualities that Marca Extremadura represents and which are none other than the genuine reality of the concept of society each and every one of us has about the people from Extremadura.
To complement the campaign on the conventional media, the interviews from these testimonies will be available to all internet users since today on the website www.todossosmosextremadura.es.
The campaign counts on an investment of over 650.000 Euros and was designed with a multimedia approach and on the Marca Extremadura channels on the social networks. It will be broadcasted from today until the end of November on all the regional media, which includes television, press, magazines, radio, cinema, outdoor advertising and the internet.
About 1000 ads will be broadcasted on the regional television (four of 30’’ and one core ad of 60’’), over 1800 at the cinema (60’’core ad and three ads per cinema for a period of three months on seven cinemas) and more than 8000 on the local and regional radio stations. Over 70 ads will be printed in the local and regional newspapers and magazines and about 50 outdoor ads will be placed on the streets of Extremadura, as well as thousands of impressions in banners on the internet and regional websites.
And as mentioned above, the campaign will also be integrated on the website www.todossomosextremadura.es where you can find 19 different testimonies from anonymous citizens describing their personal and professional experiences in Extremadura.
